The SA107 is a form that you have to attach to your main SA100 Self Assessment form if you need to declare income that you received from a trust, settlement, or a deceased person’s estate.
To submit an SA107 form with your Self Assessment tax return, download it from HMRC’s website, fill it in, then send it to HMRC by post before October 31st. Of course, if you decide to submit your tax return online, you don’t need to worry about mailing it to HMRC. Plus you get a longer deadline – January 31st of the following year.
Inheritance Tax may have to be paid after the death of the giver on some gifts they’ve given to you, especially if you received them less than 7 years before the person died. For more information about Inheritance Tax, visit our helpful glossary page on the subject.
Of course! We advise that you start a comprehensive spreadsheet to keep track of your taxable income and relevant expenses throughout the year in order to make your tax return more straightforward. This can be done on an Excel spreadsheet or Google sheet to keep things simple! Contact our team for more advice today!
