The SA100 form is the main Self Assessment form you need to file to do your tax return, if you choose to file it by post.
Usually, depending on why you need to file a tax return, you need to attach another form to it (for example, if you’re self-employed, you also need to fill in and send a SA103 besides the SA100).
You can find the SA100 on HMRC’s website, where you can download it, print it, fill it, and submit it by post. You have until the 31st October following the end of the relevant tax year to do this.
Of course! We advise that you start a comprehensive spreadsheet to keep track of your taxable income and relevant expenses throughout the year in order to make your tax return more straightforward. This can be done on an Excel spreadsheet or Google sheet to keep things simple! Contact our team for more advice today!
If you are a self-employed contractor, remember to file your Self AssessmentSelf Assessment by 31st January the year after the tax year you’re paying for. For example, if you’re paying your 2023/2024 tax return, this should be paid by 31st January 2025.
